Our Trip to Utah

After much searching, I finally found the cord to the camera so I could download the pictures we took on our trip. I used to be able to move pictures around, but now I can't seem to get that feature to work. So here they are - in somewhat random order.
One thing that was streesed at the visitors' center in Winter Quarters was that the Saints moved from temple (Kirtland and Nauvoo where they could no longer live) to the wilderness so that they could build more temples (St. George, Salt Lake, etc). If they hadn't had the "fire of the covenant" burning in them, it would have been even harder to do what they did. As it was, many died trying to obey a prophet who spoke for the Lord. How thankful I am for their courage and valient spirits!

You got some great pictures! I think it's appropriate that you visited those sights in the snowy winter, so you could get the real pioneer experience. I would love to see all of that one day.

I can't believe that house in Lincoln is still there! Is that the one we had when I was born?

What a fun road trip. And no children fighting in the back seat...what was that like? :)
