1st Day - Missionary Training Center
Well, this proves it! We are in the MTC and are official missionaries. We were set apart on Sunday evening by our stake president, David P. Harding. Today, Monday, we went through orientation and met others who are senior missionaries. It is really a wonderful experience. We are tired tonight. Tomorrow we will be learning how to present the gospel to others plus there is a devotional in the evening with a General Authority. We have met some wonderful people and are amazed at how organized everything is.
Keep watching this blog for more adventures of Elder and Sister Gibson!

Love the pictures, but boo hoo about the English nametags! Glad it was a good day!
I can't believe you guys are already at the MTC, but mostly I can't believe you'll be able to blog from the mission. How fun, we'll definitely be reading!
What wonderful pictures, Mom and Dad! It makes it seem so official. I have been thinking of you guys all day and wondering what adventures you might be having on your first day as missionaries! I'm sure you're overwhelmed, but excited! I'm glad we'll have another weekend with you!
I remember my first day. President George Durrant made it an amazing time there in the MTC. My 9 weeks there were life-changing. Too bad you only get to spend a week or so there. We'll be following your adventures there.
I'm glad you're having a good time. It's amazing that things never seem to change at the MTC. Senior missionaries on Monday, devotionals Tuesday evening and new missionaries on Wednesday, just like when I was there.
