Finishing Up October 2011

Darling little Emily in her bunny suit at church last Sunday. She and her family always sit on the front row and we sit about on the 3rd or 4th right behind them. I love watching her as she grows. Her brother and sisters are crazy about her and always want to be the one holding her. I got ambitious and made a batch of cinnamon rolls with orange frosting to give away to various people.

I put them in ice cream cartons and put this pumpkin face on it.

Rosalie Ringwood brought me this cute potholder/trivet that she had made from Halloween fabric - it is woven like a placemat.

Sister Welch makes an ornament for the 100 ornament project that the District is doing for families still in temporary housing in Tohoku.

Our table! Rulon bought me the flowers and pumpkin and gourds at the flower stand. I think they add a lot to our fall decor!

Some other sisters and I went to a shrine sale (like a flea market) and we passed this on our way there - it looked like grave markers. Perfect for my Halloween post!

We also saw these shoes as planters - reminds me of Forrest Gump!

Vendors and shoppers - hundreds of items both old and new. It was fun to browse and see things that are uniquely Japanese.

This statue was at the front of St. Luke's Hospital where we went to visit Sister Rich who has been there for a couple of weeks with pneumonia. She came home today.

I thought that that this would make a great place for someone to propose and give a girl a ring!

Tomorrow is Halloween and so I may have a few more pictures to finish up October. It has been a beautiful month with summery weather. It is starting to get a little cooler at night.
