Another picture from the paper - fishing has resumed. 
Risa (Lisa) blowing out the candle on her birthday cake. She is a special friend and we had a little party for her on Friday night before we went to the temple. She helped me write and learn to say my testimony in Japanese that I gave in preparation meeting before the session. She said I did well - the people were kind although I know it sounded very choppy and I have a terrible accent. But it was sincere and the spirit was there! 
Here she is wearing the signed apron that I made for her. 
We took a walk up to Roppongi on Saturday - Spring is in the air (also a bit of rain). 
Blue Man Group members were passing out information and posing for pictures on the plaza.

Here is Rulon practicing to play the opening hymn. It was a wonderful evening - lots of great food and some very inspiring talks from President Stevenson and Elder and Sister Choi who had all just returned from Conference in Salt Lake.
This was the project of the week - school bags for the Kindergarten children who lost everything in the disaster.
And these are quilts that I made which are now up in the devastated area. We tied them as a District Relief Society.
Here we are working on the school bags on Thursday.
This is our Relief Society Branch President - Sister Carruth. She brings me thread, jello and pudding everytime she goes to the U.S.!
Some of the 70 bags that we finished in just a couple of days. They have now been delivered and we hope they will bring joy to the school children.
This is Sister Colleen Sorenson, the District Relief Society President who spearheads so many projects. She has now gone to the States for about three weeks and took some things of mine for me. She is going to leave them at my parents' home in Payson as her husband is from West Mountain. She has been so sweet to me.
The sewing machine I bought here has really been put to good use! So glad that I have been able to help.
It is Sunday again and we will soon be going to Church. We feel blessed to be here and love Japan and the people here.
