Birthday in the Baptistry

Well, my birthday is over. We went to dinner on Friday night and then to lunch on Saturday before heading to the temple. We were assigned as baptistry coordinators. We had a Singles group from Buffalo Grove come. One fellow had some family names and so there were a lot of Pakistani people baptised last night. There is always a good feeling there and we were glad to be able to help. There wasn't too much laundry to be done and when we were finished, we weren't needed anywhere else. So we got to come home and get the calls from our kids. That is the best gift for a mother!
I am thankful to be healthy and able to serve in the temple. What a wonderful way to spend #66!

Happy belated birthday, Barbara! We can't believe that we missed singing a rousing "Happy Birthday!" to you yesterday. We remembered the day before but spaced it yesterday. We're so glad that you had a good birthday- no better place to be on your birthday than in the temple! Have a great year! We love you! David and Jan

Kellie was sad that I said goodbye to you last night without letting her wish you a Happy Birthday. I told her I did it for her, but she said she'd have enjoyed talking to you. So anyway, Happy Birthday again.

Barbara,

I stumbled on to your blog while researching William Smith Tanner for my grandkids. What a treasue. Thank you. It saved me from having to type it up. I talk to Glen often, Gary occasionally, and see your folks as often as I can. You know how much your family means to me. I still remember you passing sandwiches to me through the open bus window.

Love, Cousin Dan Bradshaw
