May 14th' 11

Another Family Home Evening Potluck dinner! While Dad was sick during Golden Week, I went with the Fillmores a couple of days to various places. Here is the the famous department store.

Here are Joanne and Wade Fillmore - so nice to let me tag along!
See the little pampered dog in the stroller? You see a lot of very privileged pets in our area.

And a lot of very cute kids!

At the Cream Puff shop - trying to choose!

Everyone was out during the holidays - look at the bikes!

More subway signs - BE POLITE and CONSIDERATE!

This was a fun activity for the Young Women and the Relief Society sisters - self defense taught by Brother Olson who is an FBI agent.

Sister Linder gets into the act!

The biggest carp banner I saw.

Here are some on the shrine near our apartment.

Even though Dad wasn't feeling all that well, he made me a Mother's Day breakfast!

These flowers are from Emi - the secretary at the office. She was so sweet to remember all the old mothers who were far from home.

This is the card -

From your Japanese daughter!
More flowers - the blue hydrangeas are for my birthday and the little ones are from Sister Pinckney - people were so nice!

And from Naoko, another wonderful Japanese friend - birthday and Mother's Day combined.

Goodbye party for the Evans. Pres. Evans was released as District President in order to become president of the Sapporo Mission!

And a surprise box of flowers from all my kids for Mother's Day! Aren't they lovely! Thanks so much, everyone!

A bowl of cereal, Dad? Really?! If I'd known that was all that was required on Mother's Day, I'd have saved a LOT of time on Saturday and Sunday. Live and learn, I guess. (I'm sure Mom appreciated the extra effort you gave in slicing up a banana.)

Hope you're doing better now, Dad. Mom, thanks for keeping us informed of your daily doings through this blog!!

Good job, Dad! Looks like you were treated like a queen on mother's day (as you should be). Dad, hope all that sickness is behind you now. No fun!

Dad you look so skinny! Time to eat more cream puffs (those sounded yummy). Glad you got so many flowers for mother's day! You know a lot of thoughtful people!
