May 15th '11

Here are the Gibsons, Pinckneys, and Evans at the goodbye party for the Evans. The Evans family (well, two of the four daughters are here)

Another photo shoot right outside our apartment.

Making sure that the actor looks just perfect.

Taking a break for a little lunch.

Packing up all the equipment into a rental truck.

It takes a lot of people and equipment to do a single scene.

Just look at the perfection of these peppers. The fruit and vegetables are so beautiful that it is hard to eat them!

This was the shrimp cocktail that we enjoyed at the Mission President's Interim Seminar dinner.

Rulon and the Wadas - fun people.

Elder Wada is wearing the tie that we brought him from Korea. He had brought Rulon one from there on his last trip so we returned the favor.

At the dinner for the Mission Presidents and their wives.

This is a wonder to me - a puff pastry over onion soup!

A family group of two brothers and two sisters preformed for us. They are called Blessed 4 and are very popular in Japan. They are members of the Church.

They were great and gave all the mothers a CD of some of their songs. I have enjoyed hearing it.

Here are the Wada boys and Kyle Stevenson who are friends of the family who preformed.

Sister McIntyre brought the apron I had made for her when we visited last year just so she could get a picture of me with her in it! I thought that was very sweet.

Here are the mission presidents and their wives and the Costas, Yamashitas, Chois, and Aoyagis. What a powerful group of people!

The book and ball that Sister Stevenson gave all of the women. The book is called The Daffodil Principle by Jeroldeen Edwards. I am going to use this book and the ideas when I speak at the RS Conference on Sat. Sister Stevenson gave me all her leftover daffodils, ribbon, etc. I will write more about that later.

Just visiting between meetings ...

And getting ready to leave - in the rain!

Yesterday was a baby shower for Bonnie Humphrey and her new little Rachel.

The refreshment table - all done in pink.

Opening gifts ...

Three generations - her mom was there from Utah.

She has two boys and so this little girl is very welcome and will be much loved.

Another very full week! Tomorrow we go to mission conferences in Nagoya.

It's starting to sound as though the people of Japan are not going to let you leave when your time comes. You have both made an incredible impression there.
