Your Dreaming Pillowcase

Tomorrow I am going to teach an enrichment class. We are going to do these pillowcases that can be turned into bags by pulling a string. I made some years ago for our kids and grandchildren (at the time). You sleep on the case from Thanksgiving to Christmas Day. Then you bring it down to put small presents in! Each person can keep track of their things that way. I made these for our home teaching family.
Here is the poem I made up to go with it.

Your Dreaming Pillow Case
A new tradition we will start,
But you will have to do your part!
From Thanksgiving to Christmas, use this case.
It will catch your dreams and keep them in place.
Each night as you lie down in bed,
This pillowcase will hold your head.
Dream of Jesus in the hay or dream of Santa 'til Christmas Day.
And remember we love you with all of our heart,
You'll always be near even though we're apart.
P.S. On Christmas morning, pull the string - you'll have a bag for the gifts Santa brings!

(P.S.) MY FAMILY - If you would like one of these (and don't already have one), let me know.

Hey mom, My older boys love their cases. But I don't think Sloane and Holden have one. Maybe Sloane does but I can't be sure, but I know for sure the rest of us do and I would love to have one more.

Great poem, Mom!! I'm pretty sure we've got the pillow cases already, but I'll ask Kellie for sure.

Does adopted family count?! I'd LOVE some, if you had time. I'll totally reimburse you for cost of materials and your time, if you are able to. Great idea!

Dear Sandra, Of course, I will send some to you! You are part of us. And forget any reimbursment - they are fun to make and I enjoy doing it.

Mom- those are darling. You have inherited Grandma T's creative talent for poetry too! The poem was sweet and the pillows are such a great idea. We still use our Christmas pillow cases you made us a few years ago for sleeping and storing presents Christmas morning. Very handy! I would love to have a few more though, as I know ours are probably worn from years past.

Enrichment women are sure lucky to have someone as talented and creative as you! They turned out so cute. Once again- your creativity amazes me! Are you SURE I'm your daughter??
