March 20th '11 Part 2 (Ice Cave Visit)

As we were traveling from the special zone training meeting in Asahikawa to Obihiro, we saw a sign for some man made ice caves and decided to stop. They had sprayed water over forms and made the most interesting and dramatic ice formations. They had colored lights behind the ice to make it glow in various colors at night. We saw it during the daytime but it was still magnificent. Here are the two assistants to the president who traveled with us. They were so much fun.
This is money embedded into an ice bear.
Entrance to one of the caves ...
Rulon in Winter Wonderland ...
The formations were huge...
Here we are in the land of ice and snow!
They were located in the mountains.
The Daniels starting to enter.
It was a fun stop on our long trip.
Warnings!

So cool! I saw something in the paper recently about someone local that did it every year with his grandson - first I'd heard of it!
