Bubba Gump and Misc. Early September '11
We Seniors took a trip to a Bubba Gump restaurant. What a fun evening with great friends!
Here we are at Gibsonville!

Forrest Gump's outfit.
Here he is - waiting for the bus.
There were so many fun signs. Enjoy!

The Donahoes ...
The Gibsons ...
The Grames ...
The Richs ...
This was the crowd as we went toward the restaurant - some singing group was in the area and there were tons of young people there. We stood out as being "oldies".
This group must be famous!
The restaurant was in an amusement park area.
This was a big ball that floated on water. Kids were in it and having so much fun!
Natalie Inagaki and Sister Watabe who came to dinner one Sunday - Natalie is leaving for a study abroad year in France.
Ready for another Family Home Evening Potluck - county fair theme.

Three Smurf hats for the Shanks kids.

So fun to see the Bubba Gump restaurant! Dustin and I went to one in Chicago at Navy Pier once, but I never thought they'd have one in Japan! Loved all the fun pictures and signs- especially the Gibsonville one. I guess that movie was a hit worldwide! The amusement park looked so fun too. I love all the creations you make too. The Smurf hats are darling! Karyssa loves her mermaid tail and wears it in the bathtub as much as she can. :)
Wow, they have Bubba Gump there? We went there in Chicago too. Dad, you look kind of cranky in your pic--did you have to wait in line? :) Love all the projects. It's amazing that you're halfway around the world and we're still keeping you busy!
Dad responds:
You are perceptive, Paige. I did have to wait in line! I'll have to avoid all "photo shoots" if I am stuck in line in the future.
I figured Dad was grumpy because Mom was telling him to put his feet in Forrest's shoes like everyone else did. He's never been one to follow the crowd.
Great pictures, Mom.
I thought the same as Mark. Loved all the signs. And I really love all mom's sewing creations!! You're amazing!
