September 11th
I had been noticing these posters around for a couple of weeks. Yesterday I found out what it was all about.
We happened upon two different groups who were participating in a little parade. Children were walking along following this little cart. Children were beating a rhythm on a big drum.
The adults with them were dressed in hoppi coats (short versions of kimono).
You never know what you will see just around the corner here!

Wow- I can't imagine having a nap on the sidewalk in public! I loved the Gummi girl and the children's parade. It seems that celebrating children is a big part of their culture- which I think is pretty cool. Do they still talk about 9/11 in Japan?
