September 13th

Cute little Japanese sister trying celery and peanut butter for the first time. She liked it! Then we had her try "ants on a log" and she loved that! Our two darling sister missionaries who came to dinner last night.
The missionaries have to pass off certain practice discussions before they can qualify for the Alma O. Taylor (an early missionary in Japan) award. Japanese must give the discussion in English and the Americans must give them in Japanese. Here are the visual aids that were used to teach us the Ten Commandments. Our cute little Japanese sister had spent a lot of time drawing something to represent each commandment. Can you tell which one is "Thou shalt not kill"? How about "Thou shalt not steal"? We just thought they were so cute. She did a good job and we signed her sheet!
Here they are giving us the discussion. Of course, Dad makes it fun for them with all his teasing. We will have them again next Thursday and help her pass off her next item.

That's cool that you're having THEM try new foods! They look like sweet girls.

How fun! So weird to think they have never had peanut butter and celery before! I loved the drawings- so funny! Dad is a great teaser and I bet they love that!
