September 21st

She looks just a typical Japanese girl walking her dog, doesn't she. She is really a tv star!
Outside of our window - a tv show used the wedding center to film a sequence for a show! The sign was changed from Losangeia to Mon Ange Dog Salon!
Here they are right below our apartment.

Putting up an Open/Closed sign ...
It took a big staff (all very young) ...
The star (the girl) and the dog ...
Another take ...
Using a stuffed dog to get the camera angle just right ...

The camera man ... The male star getting made up ...
The dog got away!
The dog's trainer ...
And the stuffed dog's trainer ... The star taking a break ...
All done!
Taking down the sign ...

Taking down the greenery ...

Loading it all up ...

It was a lot of equipment and a big staff to film a girl coming out of a dog salon with her pet! A fun thing to watch! They did warn us in advance when they would be doing the filming and begged our forgiveness for the noise and inconvenience it might cause us!

And here are our dinner guests tonight - Elder Abraham, Elder Masuda, Elder Kuroki and Elder Bates!

I noticed that Elder Bates had a hole in his pants. I made him change into Dad's p.j. pants while I sewed them up!
What a mission! Cooking and sewing for me and counseling and teasing for Dad! We enjoy having them over and they loved having spaghetti, rolls and Texas sheet cake and ice cream!

That's so cool! You could write a book on "What I see out my window!"

How fun to watch the making of that scene. I love how much they apologized for bothering you. So polite. And I bet all the missionaries love you guys!
