October 31st

Ready for a Halloween Sunday dinner with the temple missionaries! The table is set, the food is ready - tangy chicken over rice, salad, vegetables, rolls, and ice cream for desert!
Here are some of the missionaries looking at a site that Richard Rothery (a sea captain from Australia) developed with his theory of how the Jaradite barges looked and operated.
Elder Thompson and Elder and Sister Rothery on our walk to see the street where ex-pat kids (from American mainly) and others could trick or treat.
The whole little street between huge apartment buildings was decorated and families had tables set out with candy for the children. It was like trunk or treat but without the trunks!
I thought this pumpkin family was cute and they let me take their picture.
It was a beautiful night and the people were having such a wonderful time.
The Japanese children also joined in the fun. Here are two little princesses.
One of the tables with goodies.
Such cute costumes!
This guy was a hit - lots of people wanted their pictures taken with him.
More kids and adults having a great time.
The people really got into the spirit and made it memorable for the children (and us)!

You'll have to send the link for the Jaredite Barge webpage. Sounds interesting.

What fun pictures! I'm glad the Japanese children were able to enjoy the holiday there too! I'm sure you are a fantastic cook, Mom, and you've had lots of experience being hostess so far on your mission!
