November 22nd
This picture was taken of us at Nara as we were attending the Mission Presidents' Seminar. They framed it and gave it to us as a gift and remembrance of this fabulous experience.
There is the whole group of those attending in front of the Todai-ji Temple in Nara.
Family Home Evening with three general authorities! Elder David F. Evans, Elder Gary E. Stevenson, and Elder Choi were there with all the temple missionary couples and the senior couples. Also, the Wada boys, Sun Yung Choi, Kyle Stevenson and two daughters of the new Physical Facilities manager joined us.
Setting up the tables.
I took this so I can remember how to set up for this when it is our turn probably in January.
It was a wonderful evening. We had delicious food, great decorations, a violin solo by a very talented young Japanese man, and inspiring talks by Elder Evans and his wife. One funny thing was that in the middle of Elder Evans remarks, we suddenly heard a loud noise in the back. The oldest Wada boy who is about 15 had fallen off his chair! He had been up and gone to early morning seminary and then had a two hour soccer practice after school and was simply exhausted! He just got up with a smile and it turned out to be extremely funny. Elder Evans said that he had probably been rambling on too long and jokingly pretended to end his talk. I don't think that this event will be forgotten! It will give Dad something more to tease him about!

That's a really good picture of you both! That's funny about that boy--he was probably embarrassed!
Love the framed picture! And the one of you all together in front of that building...what memories!
