November 25th Thanksgiving

Perfection! Sister Watabe roasted this beautiful turkey. We are thankful to Sister Herrmann for purchasing it for us at the military commissary - she wouldn't let us pay for it. Here is our small apartment ready for Thanksgiving for 10!
Crowded but delicious food - everyone helped.
The floral arrangement (also for our 45th anniversary).
I always am amazed at how space is used here. Just go up!
We were out walking when we met our elders. They are always so fun.
Christmas is coming!
The colonel is dressed for the season.
This is the upscale grocery store all decked out.
What a sight! These guys stripped off their suits down to their running clothes. The bride or groom must have been their coach.
The wedding guests got a kick out of this!
Here are their discarded suits!
This guy saw me taking his picture through the window and posed for me.
Getting dressed again.
The Japanese really love their dogs - this is a dog hospital.
This is the dog at my hair salon - isn't this clever! He is wearing a doggie diaper held up with suspenders!
A group of preschoolers ready to cross the street!
This is the park in autumn.
This is a pile of ginkgo leaves! Remember how we always had to go to the arboretum to find these for the leaf collections you had to make in Jr. High?
Ginkgo trees are everywhere. They are a blinding yellow color and when there is a row of them, it is just amazing!
Christmas trees at National!
On to the Christas season!
