Yesterday's Walk

Mark thinks I have a camera attached to my hand (just like some of my girls). Well, I guess I am so pleased with taking pictures that actually turn out (no cut off heads), that I have become a camera addict! But everything is so interesting here and we do want to remember the things we have seen. We do take a daily walk and that is where I snap most of these shots. We went out when school was just ending. I still love to take pictures of the kids in their uniforms. Here is a bunch of giggly girls ....
who kept looking over their shoulders at these American boys who were following them.
These cute boys were waiting for the little city bus. They were being boys - kicking the posts, punching each other (gently) and having fun.
Two more school boys on their way home. I am sure they are threatened with their lives it they don't wear their hats!
A young family crossing the street. I loved the wicker pram.
We went up on the overpass that is for pedestrians to cross the busy highways. It actually felt like it was swaying. Here are a couple of pictures looking down from above.
Love the architecture!
Just enter these Pearly Gates to find all sorts of items! It was a clothing store.
Here's an ad for Father's Day - guess they celebrate it here the same day as they do in the States.
Anything you need here at the General Store.
A poster - love the fluffy little shawls.
I hope I never get to thinking that there is nothing interesting anymore! We love all these new experiences that we are having.
Oh, by the way, we got to see Larry on the teleconference monitor at the office! He and the General Young Men's Presidency were just finishing up a meeting with the area presidency here. We were waiting for a meeting with Pres. Stevenson and he called us in to say hello to Larry.
Larry and Shirley will be able to come to Tokyo in October. We are excited. One of the little Japanese secretaries thinks he is cute. She pointed out his picture in the Ensign.

I love all the pictures you take, I think it's so interesting! I do wonder what people think when you point a camera in their direction, though. I'm sure they don't mind, they know you are a foreigner. Keep 'em coming!
