Zojoji Shrine and Other Things
Here are Sister Wells and Sister Inoue who came to dinner last night.
And Elder Kameya and Elder Flint - they are actually the missionaries who helped us when we were lost a couple of weeks ago!
This is a crib that was in the government building - you just put your baby in here while you do your business!
Burning incense in the Zojoji Shrine that we visited today.

Walking toward the old shrine with modern buildings in the background.
This was inside - two huge dragons were on each side but they don't show up on the picture.
This is the sign with Buddha.
The Gibsons by the huge bell that is rung only on New Year's Eve.

Buddha's footprint.
Prayers are written on cloth or wood and hung here.
A goddess.
This is the year of the tiger. They were selling these "self-rights" dolls (tigers) that we found out are like Weeble Wobbles - they can't fall down but "right" themselves. I bought one!
A closer view of the shrine with the Tokyo Tower nearby. Contrasts!
Better view of the Tokyo Tower.
Entering the shrine.
Love this sign at the government office where we went to get our alien cards - the shrine was across the street.
This little gift shop was at the office - I think it was run by a group supporting mentally ill people. Many of the things were made of woven fabric and they had a loom showing how it was made.

Here we are with Momoko who took us down to get our cards.
These men were outside our window trimming trees all day yesterday.
