This is Grandma Tanner's 94th birthday! Martha Ellen Ashby was born in Spanish Fork, UT in 1916. She has lived most of here life in Payson with my father, Merlynn M. Tanner. I am the oldest of their six children. They also have David, Glen, Marilyn, Don and Gary. This picture was taken in July of 2006 when we were celebrating Mom and Dad's 90 birthdays and their 65th anniversary. We had everyone there except David and Jan who were serving a mission at the Hill Cummorah.

So, on August 6th of this year they will be celebrating 69 years of marriage!! Just one more year and they can be featured in the Church News for 70 years!
All our love to a wonderful mom, grandma and great-grandma! Give her a call if you can. This past half year has not been easy for her. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

The girls and I got to go visit them yesterday. It sure was nice to see them again. Grandpa kept us entertained with his dry humor and even braided the older girls' hair! Grandpa held Eden on his lap for a minute and told me she's heavier than she looks! Grandma entertained us with a poem she wrote about shoes after complimenting Ella and Eden on their matching pink shoes. She also got out the picture from our whole family before you left and had us tell her who everyone was. They even had cookies for the girls. It was a great visit.
Happy Birthday Grandma!
They are amazing! I wish we could see them more often. Funny the reversal of things, now your girls are all close to Grandpa and Grandma and we're all away!
I would love to go visit her this week. What an amazing woman she is. I hope she knows how much she is loved and admired by so many.
