Happpy 4th of July

We are thinking about you all today - July 4, 2010. Here are some flags I found in the attic that I put on our table. Good sign for today - many gave their lives for our freedom.
13 umbrellas in our genkan (entryway) and we need them often!
On our walk I saw this sign. Looks out of place here.
This is an interesting fence made of brush and bamboo.
We went in a 7-11 store and looked for breath savers (no such thing). Here is the candy isle.
And more yummy snacks - dried squid and other seafood!
We marvel at the buildings here - this one looks like a stairway - it is so narrow!
These were on the wall of a restaurant. The owner came out just as I snapped the picture. I pointed to the wall and smiled. He seemed pleased.
We saw this chair in a shop window. Looks nice and fluffy! That is fur on the arms.
Some rules at the park.
This was a tiny shrine set up in the park.
Sister Robertson put this beautiful doll in our genkan.
This is a small doll that I bought. She is not as large or elaborate but she is beautiful anyway.
We are anxious to go to church today. We have two branches combined for the summer. Should be a great day.

So fun to see such interesting pictures! The one about the rules of the park was pretty funny! The doll was beautiful and will bring back many memories when you come back home to Utah. Wish I could mail you guys a big package of breath savers! :) I'm glad you enjoyed your first 4th of July out of the country!
