July 22nd

This reminded me of Naperville - lots of Hobsons there! This is in a store window that we walk past.
This is the PBO (Presiding Bishop's Office) from across the street.
I wonder what "sewerage" is.
We saw this little group of children and their teachers crossing the street. We were headed to Costco again.
Looks like this store was having a sidewalk sale.
Another sign - don't know what it means but it was at the 7-11 where we stopped to ask directions.
Double decker bike parking.
We finally found the Dirty Dish warehouse. It was in the middle of a neighborhood and we had a hard time finding it. But we did get to see areas that we probably never would have seen - and probably never will again! These look like ancient skate boards but they were just used to move crates of dishes.
Look at this - any type of dish, cup, vase, etc. that you could ever desire!

I bought a few things - the little welcoming cats are my favorite. (Yesterday's post)
Another fun sign that I snapped.
Parasols - trying to keep the hot sun off.
Here is a mom and her baby and young school aged son.
Ever heard of Sand People??
Rulon with our cart on the ramp at Costco. We can't figure out why it doesn't just roll down. Somehow, gravity is defied!
Another view of the ramps. Parking is up on top of the store.
And some people coming up!
Another adventure! We had fun while trying to find our way to the Dirty Dish. It is just not easy to get somewhere if you haven't been there before!

Those shopping cart ramps are really neat! I'd be worried mine would fall over! The little Japanese children are adorable. I love seeing your daily pictures and getting a taste of what Tokyo life is like!

I love the name of that store - The Dirty Dish. I wonder how that would go over in the US? :-) Glad to see you are doing well and are becoming believers in Cost-Co! We'll see if you still go when you return.
