July 25th

We went into the air conditioning in this wonderful place! Lots of great stores and interesting sights. Some of the outfits displayed - always have to have a hat!

A poster showing the ocean and girls in traditional dress.
Moms and kids - my favorite subjects!
Another outfit - note the boots.
Looks like the mall in the US!
Micky is international.
And Toys R Us.
Rulon buying us a treat.
These little stuffed toys are hung on backpacks, purses, etc. Even older people have them hanging from their bags. I even saw a guy with one hanging out from his wallet pocket!
Look at the doggie strollers - and the price!
There were two or three pet stores in this mall. Here are some cute little puppies and a kitty.

Here are some posters from the Fugi Tower - it is the home of a TV station and has an observation area that we went up to. Lots of things for kids - I loved seeing the cartoon characters they had displayed.

Rulon walking down towards the ocean - see the towers in the background.
Sometime I would like to go out in one of these boats.
A sunbather - he doesn't seem to be worried about his skin like most of the people.
Along the River Walk.
Rainbow Bridge in the distance.
The Goths and Rulon along the River Walk.
And yes, we are in Japan - this is a replica. M & C, yes, I thought of you!!!!!
Love this old fashioned boat on the ocean.
The Goths - boy, was it hot! Mt. Fugi was out there somewhere in the mist.
The docs by a huge oceanside hotel.
The flag of Japan.
A subway poster telling people to turn off their cell phones! It is surprisingly quiet on the trains and subways.
Another fun poster.
It was a Happy Friday!
This poster was for National Restaurant Week - silverware and chopsticks.
A wonderful day with the Goths!
On the ride home!

Thanks for thinking of me! So many neat things to see there. I'll bet it's nice to see a touch of home once in a while.

Don't know who this joven guy is but I would block him. He made a comment on my coworkers blog too. He's sure making the rounds.

Anyways, looks like a fun outing even if it was hot. You know, even the pet stores are cleaner than here! I couldn't believe those little puppies had beds. There are a lot of animated characters in Japan too!
