July 25th (More)
On Friday, we went with the Goths to Odaiba - an island out in Tokyo Bay. We went on a monorail and got to go right along the ocean. The views of the city never cease to amaze us. Here is a poster in the subway as we were going.
View of the monorail track. Apparently this train has no driver - all computer driven.

As we were walking to Fugi Tower, we saw this big cat entrance to another building.
The Fugi Building - see the mini observation ball - we went up to the real one to look out over the city and the ocean.
This big blue dog seems to be popular here.

People everywhere!

Trying to get business.
Buying a ticket to go to the observation area.
These two are probably on a TV show here. There were posters of them everywhere.
Another poster on one of the walls. (I love posters because they hold still for my photos!)
Blue dog must have a pink dog friend!
This was a fun thing - the girls were trying to finish the lyrics to songs. It was cute to see how hard they were trying.

So, is there even such thing as an overweight or unattractive Japanese person? I haven't seen any in your photos. It's definitely "foreign" to the places we've lived. I'm just dying to see a "redneck" Japanese person with a beer bottle in one hand, a cigarette in the other with a baby on his lap sitting next to his Toyota Corolla up on blocks.
Sorry I haven't commented lately. I've been keeping up, but have been busy with travel and catching up on housework! I love all the fun things you find on your walks. I wish our buildings were that interesting. I also loved your quilt. Was it bed-sized? It looked pretty big.
